How can I download my purchase onto my iPad?

If you’d like to download directly to your iPad instead of a desktop/laptop computer to use your purchase in programs like Procreate or Affinity, then you will need to use a third-party app to unzip the files.  Here’s how to download directly to your iPad:

*Please be aware that not all products are meant to be used in apps like Procreate, some do require software that only runs on desktop/laptop computers, eg. Adobe products.

    1. Download an app like ZipApp from the App Store on your iPad, install and get it up and running.
    2. Then download your purchase from your account, email or wherever you’ve placed the zip file.
    3. When you see the download window, tap Open in… > Zipp App (or your preferred app).  Open and tap on the zip file and click YES.
    4. Open Procreate or Affinity and import files.

How to import Brushes into Procreate:

  1. Open a new canvas and tap the paintbrush icon at the top to open the Brushes panel.
  2. Create a new folder by tapping the plus sign + button at the top of the list of brushes
  3. Tap on the + button above the list of brushes to import a new brush.
  4. Tap Import button in the dialog box that opens.
  5. You’ll then see the iPad’s File navigation.  Find the folder that contains your new unzipped Procreate brushes (.brushset).
  6. Tap the brush you want to install and that’s it!

How to import Brushes into Affinity:

    1. Open Affinity on your iPad.
    2. Go to the Brushes Studio.  You’ll find the Brushes Studio on the right-hand side of your workspace. Tap to open it. Tap Panel Preferences at the top and choose Import Brushes.
    3. Using the Files Browser, find the .afbrushes file you want to import and tap to select it.
    4. The brush category will be imported and displayed automatically.

I’m having trouble unzipping the file

By FAQ's, Licensing

I’m having trouble unzipping the file

All of the products will be .zip files as they are very large and this helps reduce the size.  Usually the unzipping software that is standard on your computer will work just fine.  Here are the steps to upzip:

For Mac:

Just double click on the .zip file and it will automatically unzip.  You can then open the folder and find all the files inside

For PC:

  • Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from.
  • Do one of the following:
    • To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location.
    • To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

If you are having trouble, and the above mentioned doesn’t work for you, please try this:

For Desktop

You can try the following software:

For Macs: Archive Utility

  1. Using Finder, locate the ZIP archive file(s).
  2. Right-click the .zip file and select Open With > Archive Utility.
  3. The files will extract to the same directory as the ZIP archive(s).
  4. Double-click the file(s) to run the application.

For PC: WinRar

For iPad

For an iPad you’ll have to download an app in the App Store that will unzip your files on your iPad.  They don’t come installed automatically.  You can try iZip or ZipApp Free .

I’m having trouble downloading my purchase, please help!

I’m having trouble downloading my purchase, please help!

I know, this can be super frustrating if you’re experiencing a problem trying to download. Even the smallest of network  interruptions can mess up a download and make what should be a relatively simple task, make you want to pull your hair out! So hopefully these tips will help you out:

  • Start by making sure that your computer doesn’t lose connection to the wifi.  If it goes to sleep while downloading, the file won’t download properly.  This could result in a corrupted .zip file that won’t unzip, or a partial download (these will end in .part or .cpgz).  Or your browser will cache the errors and give you trouble when trying to re-download the file.
  • Confirm that your internet provider allows you to download large files.  Sometimes my packs are big and can be 4-5 GB.
  • Clear the cache on your browser.  Often times that will solve the problem.  Then give it a go and try downloading the file again.
  • You can always try out a download manager to help sort out problems when downloading larger files.  It will let you pause or resume downloads.
  • Lastly, check to make sure you don’t have any firewalls, ad-blocker or anti-virus software running that may be prohibiting the file from downloading properly.

If you’ve tried everything and still can’t get it to work, by all means contact me here and I can help you out!

Can I sell what I draw using your stamp/procreate brushes?

By FAQ's, Licensing

Can I sell what I draw using your stamp/procreate brushes?

Yes of course!  Because they are tools you are absolutely allowed to sell what you make using the guide brushes.   You are the owner of the artwork created using these brushes.  The only restriction is – don’t include the original stamp brush in your new design!  Just use it as a guide and then delete that layer.

Can I copyright my new designs I create?

By FAQ's, Licensing

Can I copyright my new designs I create?

Sadly, no.  I know that you put a lot of effort into creating a new design but it is not possible to copyright or trademark any work that includes any element created by me – Kris Lauren & Pretty Little Lines, I alone hold the copyright to all the images I have created as the original artist.  Adding other work to my original design (even if it’s your own), does not make it yours.

When you purchase through this site, you agree to the licensing terms which are a non-exclusive, non-transferable license that doesn’t allow trademark or copyright.  You are agreeing to use the artwork under these terms, not own them.
